TheGood & The Bad - Album

In various interviews I’ve read about the album, Ramos makes it clear that every song was inspired by something that actually happened to him and reflects real feelings he’s struggled with. You know, normal life things, like feeling bad about telling a white lie to his partner, or not wanting a special night to ever end, or feeling the need to leave home for a while to find yourself, only to discover you never needed to leave at all. Ramos says in an interview about the album with the Daily Californian, “Hopefully this album can give people courage — if you want to dance, dance. If you want to cry, cry. If you want to laugh, laugh. Give yourself the liberty to do that.”

Fun Fact: Jasmine and Anthony both met during the original workshop for Hamilton. After Anthony saw her, he was head over heels.

  1. Dear Diary -Trying to figure out who he wanted to be in life and realize at the end, after he leaves home in Dear Diary

  2. Auntie's Basement- Auntie’s Basement is about an industry party Anthony got invited to that was awesome, but basically, there’s nothing like partying with the people you love and are most familiar to you.

  4. Isabella- sabella is about one of Anthony favorite towns in Puerto Rico and is a trip Jasmine and him took.

  5. Mind Over Matter- Mind Over Matter is about somebody making up with somebody you actually love.Throughout the song, the artist sings about how ‘real love’ is deeper than the physicality. It was inspired by Ramos' relationship with his Hamilton castmate-turned-fiancé Jasmine Cephas Jones.

  6. Relationship - All about a sort of in between relationship, where one person is into it, but the other

  7. Little Lies -This is about the little lies that we tell each other to either protect someone else from getting hurt or protect ourselves from having to deal with something.

  9. Figure It Out -  Meant to be tangible ones that people relate to, and here, Anthony delves into the very real nature of not dealing with our problems. As someone who has endured hardship, living with a single mother and had his former baseball dreams destroyed due to an injury,

  10. Either Way- How life keeps moving on, even when you can’t. It is also a sort of homage to his friends who were there for him through everything.

  11. The Good & The Bad - The good and the bad in your life and his life.

  12. Come Back Home - Anthony has been searching for who he is, hence experiencing the good and the bad, but ultimately comes back home at the end to realise everything wanted was what he already had.

In the Heights (2021Film Adaption)

Anthony Ramos was cast as the lead Usnavi in John M. Chu's  big-screen adaptation of Miranda's earlier stage hit “In the Heights.” Abthony had done a production of In the Height.

In the Heights takes place over the course of three extremely hot summer days in Washington Heights, a largely Dominican and Puerto Rican-American neighborhood in New York City. It follows Usnavi, a young bodega owner, his friends, and other members of their community after his shop sells a winning lottery ticket worth $96,000.
